Annual Creeks and Watershed Conference2008 Conference
Be sure to hold the date for our 2010 event which will be hosted by the City of San Jose and held in the Multi-Purpose room of the Camden Community Center on November 6th from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. An Invitation to the event is available here so please spread the word far and wide.
It is my great pleasure to announce the winner of our Creek Advocate of the year will be Patricia Showalter. We will also be giving a second award this year for what we are calling the watershed keeper award.
We always have a policy maker speak to us about water policy and opportunities for restoration funding and this year it will be Ken Yeager, President of the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors.
The theme of this year's event is Dams: Beaver Fever and Concrete Regrets. As always we have a great line up of speakers and presenters you won't want to miss. This is a free event but a $6.00 donation is requested to help offset our costs. As usual we will begin with a welcome spread of light breakfast items and you will have some time for networking before the formal conference gets underway at 9:00.
As always we will have a lively group of exhibitors with fascinating displays and handouts.
